Flat
Track is just as its name implies. The track is low enough that you can usually drive right back on with a 1/43rd
scale car. A sufficient penalty is paid in loss of time to get back on the track. The cars are much more controllable, and
the visual of the car taking the race course at close to scale speeds and track widths is very enjoyable. The slower speeds
on a scale width track enable you to drive ahead of the car planning your line and putting your car where it should be. We
believe the scale element has been missing from our hobby. Our goal is to introduce it, much like the 1/32nd slot racers layouts.
All too often we put too much emphasis on the latest speed motor and super grip tires, only to see a driver just reacting
to avoid an imminent collision with the guard rail and driving behind the car. It usually ends with the car
repeatedly bouncing off the walls and the driver soon loses interest.
